TO8 Day 56 8:8

    Observations

Day 56 7:6 Ali is a double 8 and feels naturally isolated from those around him even though he is likely to understand the force and the flow of history as clearly as anyone. In spite of his charismatic presence and surety of purpose, the judgement of history on his acts may frighten him and confound his sense of security. He followed a cause and boxed for years after wining back his title from Foreman in order to contribute to it, yet all of this gives little comfort. The fact that he is one of the greatest sportsmen and someone with world influence acts like a two-edged sword to a man who wants to rest peacefully among the things he has created and the close relationships he has fostered.

Major 8: Minor 8

Day Fifty-sixes have a double sign (both the Major and Minor are 8), which indicates the additional influences in the day-to-day of their Antagony 7 on their Minor. Day Fifty-sixes are fun-lovers who feel as if they understand the fundamental simplicity of life and the connection with the mysterious process of change flowing through the world. But they may be self-conscious about what they feel and impatient with mystery. They are, first and last, their own person, with a serious approach to having fun that has nothing to do with social opinion, ambition or intellectual enquiry. They seek purity and simplicity in their relationships and enjoy the wonder and awe of arriving on a scene for the first time. They are antagonised by tradition, the force of history and luck, yet will rely on these things when events are not going their way. They are content to gamble, and, although rational, may believe that they can beat the odds, and find their greatest excitement when they do. They are straightforward and open with their thoughts, and are able to judge others simply and without affectation. But they care little for confrontation in anything but the clearest circumstances and prefer to be slick with their defences rather than be on the offensive. They have a hard boundary which reflects and attack. They see the short term clearly, but their long term goals in life are vague, and they feel it unlikely that there is a set career for them. They see themselves as distinct individuals and may not recognise that they carry influences from their past. They are responsible with their own work, but hate being put upon and made to do other people's work. They yearn for a space and a territory that is at once clearly defined but is also the springboard for development and adventure. Repetitive tasks can help them switch off and find some composure. Their opinions are attractive because they have strong foundations of logic, but their arguments may lead only to vague conclusions and they may find it difficult to express their real sincerity. They are off the Landscape, and may try to connect to social situations by borrowing convenient ideas to express what they feel. They need to make conscious efforts to think themselves into the minds of others - empathy does not come easily – and any hint of emotional dependency on them will make them angry and disdainful. They have a source of energy beneath their stillness, and find it difficult to be relaxed and comfortable in an environment where nothing is going on. Double Eights are combative but have difficulty taking charge, and may escape responsibility for their actions by assuming things are working out for the best anyway. They are sensitive to emotional pain - and will strike out at those who cause it.
