For Day Fifty-sevens the Major antagonises their Minor. This has the effect of diminishing the presence of the Minor in the day-to-day, and holding it back from development. They are liable to present a positive face that hides their anxiety about their integrity. They are physically active and fun-loving, with minds enlivened by the latest ideas. They look for fellow-travellers to accompany them on their explorations.  They think of themselves as newly-minted individuals, and guard their newness jealously. They are open and compassionate, and fear the corruption of their innocence by worldly values and desires. They hunt continually for the pure experience among new thoughts and fresh faces, but fear being boxed in both physically, by restrictions on their space, and intellectually, by definitions.  They will have a certain disingenuousness in dealing with people and may look for the unsophisticated relationship, or ones where the cultural baggage that each person carries is kept to the minimum.  They enjoy the latest trends in ideas and information, and see to the essence of a new idea quickly, but are more concerned with the beginning than the end, and may lose what they create to others.  They are logical in thought and don't like to guess - guesses cannot be allowed to take precedence over working things out. They are difficult to persuade to a point of view with anything other than logic, yet the desire for a fresh experience may triumph over the logical choice. They know what they think and will defend their ideas, even though they are aware that lingering on something may make them miss out on the next thing to come along. They want to take life as it is and to analyse the information it offers rather than become too deeply involved with people, or even their own careers. They are practical with the general demands of living, and are realists who are determined to keep a space between them and others, yet offer eccentricity to charm the world. In spite of their desire for simplicity, they have a certain competitiveness with the stranger they meet.  They are concerned with the spark of life around them and can see fresh things in every new birth. They have a feeling that life is pushing them out of their Eden and into a peopled space full of obligation.
