For Day Forty-eights, the Major
antagonises the Minor, and this has the
effect of muting the expression of the Minor and
slowing its resolution. Day Forty-eights may
think it simpler to leave it up to luck to finish
off what they have begun than work through things
to the end. Day Forty-eights are slow to mature,
in spite of the independence they show in their
day-to-day activities. They find it hard to lose
their innocent approach to life and duties. They
can have energy and self-discipline when it comes
to personal matters, but find it difficult to get
to grips with team mangement. They draw
enthusiasts around them, inspiring followers with
the fun they can suggest though not necessarily
create. They are tenacious to the idea of about
drifting among events that interest them until
the right plan for life comes along. They begin
with distant and general goals for a happy life,
and hope that the interesting things that happen
to them in the present will point them towards
these goals. The execution of their plans is
often infected by the random element that they
rather enjoy. They feel very attached to the
mysterious energy of the unplanned social
situation and are reluctant to lose contact with
it, They expect social events to present
interesting choices that they find it difficult
to articulate for themselves alone. Beneath the
surface of their fun-making there lie grave souls
who ponder their place in the Universe and how to
make their mark. They sense that somewhere there
is a tide of history that they want to belong to.
They are optimistic about people in general, and
especially like to think of their friends as
'great', but dare not find out for sure what
their deeper motivations actually are. They
intensely dislike being criticised, and will
simply move away from difficult people or those
trying to boss them. They are stubborn in their
desire to experience only the interesting things
in life, regardless of how that is considered in
their community or group. But they will always
listen to advice from a trusted friend,
especially if it is about careers. They like
their art and music, and are happy to perform,
although they may not rehearse their skills as
much as they would like to. They like a feeling
of belonging to a tradition of culture, and are
happy to identify with it. They enjoy the
incongruous, and look out for it everywhere.
Being able to find a surreal circumstance
confirms gives them a temporary sense of their
own uniqueness. They are happy to take an
opportunity merely because it seems interesting
to them at the moment. But finding an opportunity
that dispels some of the fog surrounding their
future, gives them real joy and enormous
enthusisam.
