Bob Dylan b. 24 May 1941 TO8 Day 14 2:6 Conclusion Dylan is 60. He is well into his resolutions of 4:8. In the second phase of his life, he is going to be more disenchanted with his achievements, wanting to go back over past work he feels no one has understood and re-work it. He'll be more interested in the messages that images can convey, and he'll want to express his ideas with clarity and purity in them. On a spiritual plane he will think of the state of his soul as the defining material of his personality rather than his mind and intellectual creations. He may see sex as a health-giving activity and a means of reaching the highest levels of contentment and relaxation. He is going to be more severe with himself and with others with whom he has relationships, demanding a purer mode of life, and one more isolated from the banalities of everyday living. In his Essential Year, he has just ended the second cycle of his second phase, and is beginning the third cycle of 3:1 where he will find himself involved in new projects against, probably, his better judgement, and be drawn more towards acting and directing of film. 1 November 2001

Day 14 Both the Major 2 and the Minor 6 lie on the same axis, giving those of this day a strong sense of identity and unity. As a result, Day Fourteens can be an attractive and magnetic draw on others. They easily see people as a resource to be stored and used, as any physical or intellectual resource is used. They are keen to stand out from their peers, but also to weave the desires of those around them into a secret purpose. They may even feel they are representatives of a higher form of social organisation in which duty and obligations figure more strongly than freedoms. Day Fourteens have a strong belief in themselves and their abilities to manage resources and people to whatever end they set themselves. They can enter relationships easily and enjoy the emotional rough-and-tumble of the first contacts. But their idiosyncratic sense of pride may make their relationships unstable. They feel that their sense of honour is undermined by their need to remain in touch with their network of favour and obligation. They like to classify their experiences and acquire information in depth, but they also need to put a personal stamp on any form of communication in order to keep themselves untainted by the ordinary. They are good at handling all the intellectual tools of calculation and may have stamina and perserverance for lengthy analysis. They are unlikely to be shifted in their viewpoints, believing that their opinion is like a moral fixture in creation. They feel distracted both by the new and by the common ground, and think that events are best steered by a small elite who have allegiance to ideals. Those of this sign may be political theorists and activists who believe passionately in a cause. They may readily reject the baggage of ideas that were given to them during their upbringing, but still cling to the idea of a 'family' with its independent agenda of action. But they can be over-indulgent at times at the expense of their projects. They like to make deals and create business opportunities, and they enjoy the material proof of their achievements. There will always be the opportunity to re-establish contact after a break with friends, but they are unlikely to be the ones to make the first overtures. They can be good scholars, but learning may give way to more material goals. tell
