Day 62 8:6

Was he liked? Admired and appreciated by many, he was probably actually liked by only a few. Able himself, but probably asking more from those under his command than they could fulfill, he found answers that few could actually live with happily. He was testing and critical but always with the best interests of the project at heart.

Moments in George's Essential Year.

In his 22nd year he would enter 4:6, a time of doubt about social role and a self-consciousness about his need for recognition from the highest authorities.

In his 26th year, the period 5:3 would be one of reluctant but energetic attention paid to home and community and the land in his possession.

In his 52 year, in the period 1:5 the Landscape of his interests would be prominant in his concern.

He was elected President in his 57th year, a year dominated by 2:4, a counterpart to his TO8 type, where he could afford to be an all seeing, mysterious and quirky leader of a multi-faceted government, wrong-footing even his supporters.

Major 8: Minor 6

For Day Sixty-twos, the Minor resolves to the Major, indicating a certain persistence in the desire for simplicity and individuality. Day Sixty-twos are very independent. They stand apart from the world of social affairs looking for clarity in their relationships. They are honest and direct, but look for as much control of every aspect of life and work that is possible. They mull over continually the examples of other people's lives and search for a model existence. They accept nothing on faith, and reject community values and artificial status for a feeling of personal worth that comes entirely from the success of their work. The more they succeed, the more proof they have that standing apart from others is the right position to be in. They dislike the complications of the everyday in their lives, yet may accept daily compromises simply to end the stress of resistance to them. They may feel that recognition might de-stabilise their existence, yet crave it all the same. They progress rapidly away from their background, their peers and even family, and ignore many basic social realities in order to find pure, unencumbered relationships and to appreciate the pure spark of life in people around them. They are concerned with conserving their private space at all costs. They are oblique to the landscape and need the open spaces and the panorama of nature like others need food. They like laughter and the simple pleasures of life, and have little need for material acquisitions.  Their clarity of thought gives them strong planning abilities, but they are wary of taking risks and losing what they have.  They hate the thought that destiny might take everything, and they may be unwilling to stretch themselves completely because of this.  They want to surround and capture chaos and eliminate it, as the body's immune system does to a virus. They like a firm reality rather than misty dreams, and are nervous of uncertainty - however brief - in any situation.  They ally with the maverick who knows what he wants, but are fearful of the mad and unpredictable outsider.  While they can dominate a situation with their penetrating thoughts, they may always doubt that they have the personal strength to take charge  of the situation.
