Day Twenty-ones have a Major that resolves to their Minor. They find their self-justification among their equals and in a community of like-minded people. They are charming and sociable with good manners. They are also earnest and responsible, and will shoulder any burden for the good of the group. They believe in co-operation, discussion and the group decision. They work tirelessly, and are mentally strong enough to overcome almost any setback, even the abuse of their trust. They keep their faith in their friends as long as their friends continue to believe in the community to which they belong. They have difficulty understanding how individuals can break free of the community. In their early years they might believe that the wider community has a stronger pull than an intimate family within which they might feel isolated. They are open to persuasion by the group ethic or belief - as long as that group ethic has a practical purpose. They put all their energy and pride into identifying with the group, but trust too much in the co-operation of individuals. They love debate, but may not see that each argument hides an individual with his own needs and plans. They understand the pecking order of groups but, in spite of their abilities and what they deserve, will wait to be elevated to the top. They see society in terms of class, and although they believe in giving everyone, a chance to improve their station in life, they believe that the best will inevitably rise, and see in the best worthy subjects of their affection. They hate to be fooled by the apparent merit of others, and can see through flattery, even though it can be encouraging. They are genuine and kind-hearted, and are strong enough to make difficult decisions that may ride over individuals for the good of the group. They hate secrets and decision-making behind closed doors. They dislike, too, anguished soul-searching and indecision. They may not know exactly what they like or what is best for themselves. They understand and enjoy flirtations but would not want wayward sexual attraction to interfere with the smooth running of their relationships. They see sex as something outside a good relationship and not the essential core to one. They see opportunities for co-operation everywhere, but like to choose exactly what to compete for, and would hate to see themselves excluded or left behind. They need the approval of those around them, but are often too trusting to act in their own best interests. They use the conclusions of others to cement their place in the group. In any kind of community or family they will be found taking extra duties onto themselves just to keep things operating smoothly. They are always optimistic about others accepting and following their lead, but when their lead is not followed, they can shrug off their disappointments. Even though they believe everyone should follow the social rules they feel a deep affinity for the mysteries of life that seem to govern human societies.
