TO8 Day 15 3:7

    Observations

Day 15 3:7 Embodying the axis of 'becoming' in TO8 terms it comes as no surprise that President Kennedy has found an always-prominent place in history. His reputation may continue to wax and wane but JFK probably was the last genuine freely liberal democratic leader we'll see in the US for a long time. His Major 3 resolved to the community of 5, while his Minor 7 resolved to the restless exploration of the best in 1. Although low down in his class leaving high school, his classmates voted him the person most likely to succeed, and this was hardly surprising since his entire being would be driving onto the social landscape with all his energy. Leaving Harvard Law school summa cum laude his professors thought him remarkable for the humanity of his judgements. With his antagony of 2 it was clear that he would be offensive to the 'old political guard', and he did indeed would throw out the old caucus of politicians in favour of new vibrant minds in key government and advisory posts. His Minor 7 would make him be a reckless dreamer of what might be done while his Major 3 would be concerned with what can actually be done. (The writer who named Kennedy's administration 'Camelot' was more perceptive than he may have realised). In his everyday attitudes, Kennedy would be speculative, testing, a deviser of interesting questions, restless and unsatisfied with the answers of vested interests, while gathering agreements of all those around him, looking for the concrete solutions to the problems of the day. Those of this sign can be out right stars, indeed, may consider it their right to be so, but are quite unimpeded by personal vanities: they have no special personal needs except to reach that fundamental reality in which humans act and to have a beneficial presence there.

Major 3: Minor 7

In general, Day Fifteens (and Day Twenty-threes) have energy in abundance. They are enthusiasts for strange experiences and will be deliberate about their fun. They will try their hand at most pastimes. Their minds have a broad interest in everything speculative, fantastical and utopian, and they may take to believing that they hold the key to magical 'sciences' for getting things done. They may start out with an unrealistic vision of what life and work is all about, and they leave themselves open to having others define what is real for them. But they have a good understanding of issues, and are keen to work in a challenging environment. They commit themselves emotionally to whatever they choose to do, and like to include new friends quickly into their activities. They need to connect with the real world even if they need to invent a connection to get themselves going. Their interests are broad, and they love to express their minds with an immediacy that can be compelling. They can observe the whole field in which others act, and admire the ability of people to get on with everyday life. They can take to the repetitions of daily life as long as there is a good purpose behind it. They have determination to succeed at what they do, but may rely on chance to provide their best opportunities. They inspire loyalty in subordinates. In relationships, they wouldn't like to have all their romantic fantasies dispelled; they are keen to have their visions of contentment realised. They like their relationships well managed, although they reject being bossed. They will reflect bad treatment in a relationship back on its perpetrator. They are energetic, and, find that parenthood, as well as work, gives them a place in the world. They can empathise with their children and make good companions for them. They can be a source of creative ideas and speculations even when these cannot be realised.

They resolve towards 5:1. In the second half of their life they will become much more rooted in the community and supporters of its values. They will take the trends of thought and communication and put them to good use in the family. They will find that their possesssions are a drag on all the fresh possibilities life has to offer, and they may find, too, that the old network of relationships no longer serves its purpose. They may also find that their personal pleasures no longer satisfy as they once did. Where before they ran the risk of being too detached in the affairs of the community, they will establish, in the end, a deep-running emotional involvement with them.
