Princess Diana

b. 1 July 1961

TO8 Day 20
Major 3:Minor 4

    Observations

There's not much to add to Diana's profile. It reveals, simply, what much time and effort went in to conceal. The more we learn, the more we see less of the helpless girl in the grip of an uncaring family, and more of the active player of her life not above manipulating people around her to get what she wanted. The more we learn of her indiscretions, the more we see a dominant personality with a rather wayward control of her romantic energies. We realise too, that the shy self-deprecation we see in almost every photograph is a self-conscious image resulting from her self-awareness rather than the consequence of an unwordly unprepared girl thrust into the limelight. Most probably this would have made her a good queen since - as they say in Hollywood - you can't hang up a reputation without a hook.

Diana's Essential Year. 5 years ago Diana was in 7:1. Diana, in the first part of 1997, would have been heading towards a new style of life far-removed from the static postures of royal duties. She may have talked about having children but it is more likely that she had exciting new projects to do with teaching and learning in mind for the near future. Diana would be sensing an evolutionary movement to her life that would take through unusual doors and onto paths rarely explored by any but the brave and fearless.

Day Twenties have the internal conflict where the Minor is antagonised by the Major, which leads to a muted expression of their 4 nature in the day-to-day. They make their presence felt but often with undirected energy. Those of this sign are reaching for consensus but are always doubtful about the wisdom of almost any action and about any relationship that they start to pursue.   They may be may be dreamy, diffident and shy in unstructured circumstances. All the same, they have definite beliefs and are anxious to make contact with the Landscape, even if they are uncertain how to give substance to their beliefs. They live in their dreams shyly but resolutely, eventually sweeping all objections aside. They are visually sophisticated, and think well in images, taking in a great deal of information at a glance. They have a sexual charisma that people respond to, and which can give them a fertile aura that inspires others, but they may lack the ability to use it skillfully and delicately when it comes to romance. They deal with people intutively, but when it comes to intimacy may not understand what others require out of a relationship. They tend to always see themselves as trying to come down to earth, trying to become practical and realistic, yet when when it comes to the everyday, they may imagine themselves above life's petty tasks and undertakings. While they may not be good at reading maps, they can feel at home anywhere. They make best contact with the world by baring their souls, setting out imaginary worlds symbolic of the inner self. They may believe in a Creator and think that their soul is representative of the creative force. They are determined to prove themselves eventually through their work, even though their work will create many tensions and irritations in their minds. In spite of the desire to control all aspects of what they do, they will find it hard to master the continuing internal contradiction which makes them reach for answers in their family and community but which doesn’t allow them to be satisfied by them. This basic uncertainty of a purpose in life leaves them dependent on advice, and they make their choices full of trepidation. They may not see issues in terms of a fixed morality, and feel that they alone can decide what is or is not a moral issue, and that their behaviour does not come into any category of ordinary morals. Intellectually, they can calculate a response to any difficulty well, but their immediate, unselfconscious responses are liable to be the most appropriate.
