Personality snapshot for TO8 Day 34

Day Thirty-fours have the Major 5, governing sociability and status, and the Minor 2, governing relationships and sensuality, with the tensions of  physical and intellectual explorations in 1.  The trend is towards 1, governing physical and intellectual explorations, with the insecurities of spirituality and fertility in 4, and with the prevailing mood of  spirituality and fertility in 4.

Day Thirty-fours see the world as many worlds nesting within each other, each with their regulations, none of which apply completely to them. They think of tasks as being the weaving of connections between the many social worlds in which they like to move. They embody the contradiction of needing to be at the still centre of their world and to be running with the shifting fashions of the Landscape. They want to be close to the centre of attention of events or to the leaders of society even if they are not the single axis around which events are turning, and this may undermine their ability to improve their position or point of view beyond their immediate needs. Although they can look into themselves and assess the likely futures ahead, they are rather too passive in making use of that knowledge and tend to rest on established practice in making deals. Their standing in the community is important to them and they maintain this, where possible, through cultured activities and considerate giving to the right causes, rather than through any absolute achievement. They will work hard behind the scenes to keep their network whole, and they are unhappy to let a relationship in it break down. Their learning is along the lines of collecting the right packages and they will be adept at finding the right 'collection' for any qualification they seek out. They are highly involved in the conduct of relationships and see every meeting as a manifestation of a hidden complexity and they may find themselves creating, unconsciously, a dramatic backdrop to them in an attempt to satisfy their expectations. They find it difficult to see simplicity in anything and they have little desire to follow strict sequences of actions in a plan. Those of this sign are likely to be supportive of their friends and peers, but tire of giving help without a return. They are insensitive to threats from those on a different wavelength, and may not be able to spot the spoiling maverick until it's too late. They have durable personalities with an underlying confidence, but their essential realism accepts the bully in order to try to use him. They enjoy bringing a new acquaintance into their inner circle, but get upset by new ideas superseding their own arrangements and are reluctant to give out readily what they know without some kind of exchange or swap. Minor health issues or relationship difficulties overly their stamina and resilience but they will always be interested in folk remedies, remedies of legend and myth, remedies of magic and superstition, and they may become attracted to the idea of the medical sorcerer, the mystic healer and any kind of mystic brotherhood. They tend to be sensual but may need the community to help define what their pleasures are. Those of this sign are likely to look upon having children, intellectually, as a disturbance to their comforts, but fundamentally acknowledge them as an important physical proof of their existence.

They resolve towards 1:4.  In the second half of their life, those of this sign will think more of the big picture, and will be aware of what it will cost them spiritually to explore new styles of life and thought, even though they remain practical people excited by new information and solutions that work. They may find that sex and romance suddenly takes on a more crucial importance to their well-being, giving them excitements which tinge the new paths they want to tread with uncertainty. They may have the air of being disengaged from the practical world, but will always be ready to cope if needed. They will fear losing what they have through inattention, and may prefer to throw a thing away rather than lose interest in it. When they decide to take a risk, there will inevitably be consequences for those around them.
