Day Fifty-eights have the Major 8, governing innocence and identity, and the Minor 2, governing personality and sensuality, with the tensions of physical and intellectual exploration in 1. The trend is towards 2, governing personality and sensuality, with the insecurities of destiny and opportunity in 7, with the prevailing mood of spirituality and fertility in 4.

For Day Fifty-eights the Major resoves to the Minor making them strong personalities, rich in learning and argument, well-rooted in the world and unlikely to be de-stabilised by anything but the strongest natural force. They may have the manner of the shy child, sensitive about their appearance, and to peer pressure, but they are holding tight to their place in the world and are always manoevering others away from the space they want to occupy. They are likely to be passionate about the issues they have taken up, and may have have a rich fantasy world where they enjoy secrets and conspiracies which rebel against established and traditional powers. They are very private, and tend to keep their skills to themselves. Even though they are conceptually wise, especially about people's intentions, seeing that human motivation involves much more than pure thought, they tend to reject standard explanations, traditional planning techniques, natural priorities and sequences for understanding events in favour of their immediate needs. Their model of the universe is one driven by the parable of the Prodigal son: the sinner returning home. Ties of obligation and debt are powerful instruments, and they appreciate the basic simplicity of trade and markets in human affairs. They are adept at finding flaws in argument, and are good at using the unusual or diverting counter example in debate. They fear chance and the unknown because of the power it has to demolish what they are building. They demand from their network plenty of room to manoever, but never like to lose sight of any one element of their network completely. They will do well on a career ladder because they understand its workings so well, but may lose sight of the final goal. They may give to the organisation they work for more than it requires or needs, and they are careless with information. Their mood is dependent on their moment-by-moment physical comforts and sensual gratification. They are drawn to those who enjoy their fun, and social occasions may be enjoyed for their networking rather than for any cultural purpose. They like to be free to roam within a social gathering and hate having a structured role to play out. They may like to keep the doors to past relationships open, hating to burn their bridges, but they are unlikely to withdraw condemnation of others, especially of those who have abused their trust or who have failed to support them sufficiently.

They resolve towards 2:4. In the second half of their life, they will be charitable and enjoy being charitable to those they know, even if they will prefer to keep their support at a distance and their actions secret. They may take to secret rituals and mysteries as a way of making sense of their guilt feelings. They will begin to enjoy sex as a fundamental element to the spiritual union in relationships. The upbringing of children may be too structured and demanding for them to enjoy naturally.  They may think of bringing up children as a distraction to their own initiation into the mysteries and rituals of spiritual side of human society.
