Gerhardt Schroeder

TO8 Day 6
Major 1:Minor 6

    Observations

Gerhardt's profile contains many of the classic leadership qualities. Tactical and active, he will be working on the Landscape always pushing forward. He gives the appearance of a critic of established ways and means - and especially of precedent - but in reality he will work within the bounds of pragmatism, finding the best of what works rather than creating anything new in the political realm. He has a grander sense of humanity than his need to lead suggests, but in the end his personal preferences will get in the way of his decisions.

Schroeder's Essential Year. In his 58th year, he will be well into his resolutions of 5:8. He entered phase 2:5 of his second cycle in June, a time for connecting well with his constituency and for marshalling his political resources. It is a time good for re-establishing his familiar style among those who know him best and for appearing to let others of his team exercise opinion - though not power. He will appear generally more charismatic and authoritative, although his decision-making abilities are going to be taking a curious turn. He may think he will enjoy the complexities of coalition government and making deals, but in reality he will tire of them and seek simplicity through direct and even autocratic action.

Day Sixes are keen to succeed, and happy with the trappings of success and even the reverence of fans. They love nothing better than showing off the latest thing or idea, and they need to keep up with the news as it it breaks. They have mental energy in abundance, and can focus their minds easily in support of their questions, which they have aplenty, about Humanity and it's purpose. They are proud of their clear minds and their ability to conceive a plan and push it through. They can cut through complexity and may not care what other people are thinking before they make up their minds. They are keen on inventions and inventing, and they can be fine craftsman which, for them, may seem like the most moral of occupations. They like to move in parallel with the latest thinking and to associate themselves with exclusive ideas without necessarily committing themselves to them. They think of themselves as off on a limb, scouting out important terrain. The consensus, however, can antagonise them, and they feel they must have the intellectual freedom to make up their own minds about an issue. They can be rather frank in social situations, and cutting when they don't really mean to be, but they are alert to disrespect and injustice in a situation and realise that there are any number of moral codes in life and that their own morality may not be everyone's. They find it difficult to hold back criticism of others, especially with those who appear more socially at ease. They are always in tension between their status in the community and their need to resist obligations to it. They will enjoy being included in a peer group later in life, as long as their achievements are recognised. They enjoy games as long as they can exercise their talents freely, in a tactical sense, but they may have difficulty disciplining their bodies. They are interested in fresh faces and what new acquaintances have to say, and they can make lively, active and interesting companions. They are interested in having children and creating a model family, but although they will want to be dutiful and complete parents, they may still be too busy to be cosy with their children. Work and income could become everything for them, and they seem to be tireless in the hunt for achievements. They are always ready to get up and go, and dislike waiting for others to catch up.
