Commentary

About now, Blair is at the end of the final cycle of the first phase of his Essential Year. Two weeks after his next birthday will seem enter the start of his second phase, fully in his resolutions. Right now, he's stern, definite and not wanting to be contradicted by dreams and suppositions. By summer next year he will be more exploratory, both physically and spiritually. he'll want to travel everywhere making contacts and cementing obligations, while, at home, he's likely to be restless, wanting to make home a life a more serious and ritualistic experience for the family.

He resolves towards 4:5. In the second half of their life, those of this sign will remain expressive and learned, but they may feel a little more doubful over the worth of their life-style and want to make amends for what they think of as past sins. They may even become haunted by a feeling of guilt for past mistakes. They may feel less secure in their relationships and uncertain of what is valuable in life. They will become interested in the religious side of community affairs, and yet will be antagonised by the changes that the new generations introduce into their previous certainties.

For Day Elevens, the Major antagonises the Minor. This indicates a tendency to put up a solid front at work to hide their worries about what they are doing.

Day Elevens have an inner conflict between the desire to present to the world exactly who they are, and their deep-rooted need to establish themselves first. At times they can be bold, full of excitement and sparkle with opinions on almost every subject, but they will always keep their inner feelings private until they are sure of their ground.

They get great enjoyment from the experience of the powerful forces of the natural world, and their imaginations are stimulated by nature in all its forms. They enjoy life to the full, work hard on developing a personal style, and may take their particular tastes very seriously. They delight in their strong mental energy, but often feel let down by their lack of physical energy. They have a sensual nature that they are unashamed of expressing, although their excesses may make them feel guilty.

They accumulate so much detail about all aspects of the world that others will find them impossible to contradict. They like to think that the things they own express not only their own personality and achievements but also essential components of the world we live in. They may delight in precious objects and they make good assessors and evaluators of them.

They may be good at story-telling, but may find it difficult to empathise with others and see the world through the eyes of another. They can readily find the flaw, conceit or even deceit, in the face that other people present to the world.

They are good connectors and love the intricate details of relationships and obligations, and can easily play off one duty and debt against another. They are keen on getting the world to see and understand their ideas and beliefs, as long as they can keep their personal life private and to work at their own pace. They like to act in secret but find themselves often tempted into making moves before they are fully prepared.
